Typical surgeries performed by the Orthopaedist include total hip and knee replacements, arthroscopic procedures of the knee (ACL tear/repair, meniscus), rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic surgeries performed on the shoulder and ankles, trigger fingers, fractures of the ankle, feet, wrist, shoulders, clavicle, arms, metacarpals (hand/fingers), and metatarsals (feet), tennis elbow, distal biceps rupture/repair. Staff of 1 Surgeon, 1 Part-time Sports Medicine physician and 2 Physicians Assistants. The P.A. will spend approximately 50% of his/her time in clinic and 50% in surgery. Call Schedule: One weekday per week and one weekend in four. Job Requirements
Requires an advanced degree as a Physicians Assistant from an accredited school and a Vermont license. Appropriate licensing/registration. Minimum of 2 years experience in both OR and clinic setting. Experience in both total joint replacements of hips and knees. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, other health-care providers, and parents.
